The End Is On The Horizon

I have more finished on the quilt'ghan and the finish line is near.  I should have this finished this weekend or early next week sometime.  I've got my fingers crossed that I bought enough of the multi color yarn because if not i'll have to travel 30 miles out of my way to get another roll.

I'm so excited about this project and can't wait to get it finished.  Then i'll be moving on to finish my RR in shades of brown and starting another Daisy afghan.

  1. Wow, I'd love to see your daisy afghan I think it is a work of art, and it is something I've been wanting to do for a long time.
I've just crocheted a little teddy bear cell phone cover for my niece's little Tracfone LG800 smart phone and the kids at school loved it so much they even want to buy one from me. The phone cover has legs and arms and a bear snout and ears. How can anyone not like something like that.
The kids of today I think have too much pocket money and their cell phones are attached to them with an umbilical chord, although this Tracfone of my nieces is a prepaid phone and only costs $7/month for service. I like the idea of kids learning to crochet so that they can make their own bags, mittens, funky hats, etc, it helps them to appreciate how much work goes into making some thing special. Isn't it funny how sentimental we get when we realize how much work goes into an afghan and to know someone gave one to you with love.

  2. If you look under Recently Finished Project in January you will see a pic of the first Daisy afghan i've done. I've been asked to make another one in hot pink. I love making things for people it's just a way better feeling knowing that you've put your thought and love into it. My 11 year old has been asking me to make a slip cover for her touch screen tablet so i'm going to have to come up with something...lol The cell phone cover sound adorable. I hope that someday my kids decide they want to learn to crochet:)
